Senate & House DTV Hearings; FCC & NTIA Meetings

Tuesday, July 24 - The House Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet holds a hearing - "Oversight of the Federal Communications Commission -- Part 2." 9:30 a.m. Link to webcast

Thursday, July 26 - The Senate Commerce Committee holds a hearing - "Preparing Consumers for the Digital Television Transition." 10:00 a.m. Link to webcast

The NTIA will hold a public meeting on September 25 (yes, a long time from now) to report progress on the government's digital-to-analog converter box program, including public education efforts. The meeting will be recorded and available for download on NTIA's web site.

Neither the date nor the agenda for the FCC's July Open meeting have been announced, but it'll be soon.
